Take Care of You!
Pressure’s on! At this time of year, we hear a lot of this… A New Year, a New You! New Years Resolutions, New Years Goals, Start new habits, End bad habits. It can be very overwhelming trying to make changes this time of year.
At Everly Grace, we’re here to remind you to slow down, and take care of yourself! This month, we’ll focus on three areas, don’t worry about goals or rules, just make smart choices that agree with your body and mind.
Skin: Choose healthy ingredients for your skin. Our skin is the largest organ of the body to what we put on it will digest. Think of it as nutrition for the skin, if you wouldn't eat it why would you use it?
Try This: Don’t skip the serum! Serums are like a fertilizer for your other products. They penetrate deep into the skin to help get your other products (moisturizers, oils etc) maximum effectiveness.
Body: How do you keep yourself in a mental check? If you feel overwhelmed what tools do you have to bring yourself into balance? Do you need to do more yoga, meditation, take a bath? There are so many ways we can keep our mental health in check. Need help in this area? Book a facial or follow EGB on instagram, we always have tips and tricks about our health.
Try This: Close your eyes. Take in a breath in that takes 4 seconds and then take a breath out that takes 4 seconds. Do this 4 times, see how you feel.
Soul: Connecting to our heart. Staying committed to your truth. How do you choose bliss each day? Figuring out what works for you. Doing more of what works for you each day. Knowing we are all here with a purpose and it is up to us to commit to the journey. We may or may not know what that purpose is and that is okay but we stay connected and enjoy the journey.
Try This: Make a habit of coming home and asking your partner, children, roommate, dog, cat about their day. Be specific, ask them what was the best part of your day? Share yours and celebrate the good in each day.
