Starting a more holistic skincare routine can be such an empowering and transformative experience to dive deeper into a self-care routine. It is important for everyone to create a routine or as we like to call them Skin Rituals that involve Morning Rituals, Evening Rituals, Weekly Rituals, Monthly Rituals and even Yearly Rituals. This will help us stay on track with taking care of our selves as well as feel better in our bodies.
The New Year is here and a great opportunity for us to make small changes in our lives to help us live a more grounded and healthy lifestyle. We want to make small changes everyday so we can fill our cup to support the people, loved ones and things around us that matter most.
Creating a daily practice around mindfulness and meditation for your home care is simple and is a more holistic approach to our beauty routine. This practice will encourage us to change our mind set around beauty and ourselves. Here are a few simple ways you can practice Skin Care Gratitude.

Men have skin and we care about all skin types, it is our largest organ after all! Although there are key differences between men and women’s skin — for example, men’s skin is thicker than women’s — the basic elements of an effective skin care plan remain the same.
We’re bringing the Clareblend Mini to Everly Grace Whole Beauty. This tool is excellent for the effects of aging, uneven skin tones, sagging and acne. It’s really a great tool for skin of all ages and types.
We’re providing you with a great DIY body scrub focused on sea salt and coffee grounds. This is the perfect blend; Coffee is stimulating to skin and increases blood flow and circulation while pink sea salt is rich in iron and is especially beneficial for women during their cycle.

“Appreciation is an excellent thing. It makes what is excellent in others belong to us, as well.” ~Voltaire. While the old proverb tells us it is better to give than receive, countless people bemoan the absence of grateful receivers. Thank you letters seem to be a relic of the past and expressions of gratitude are often drowned out in a sea of complaints about what is wrong with the world.
We’re now offering Red and Blue Light Therapy at Everly Grace Whole Beauty! This light therapy can benefit everyone, from helping teens clear up acne, to alleviating muscle and joint pain in active clients to overall cell health, this add-on treatment is worth it!
Sadly, to most people, the idea of feeling a sense of calm, getting quality sleep and not feeling stressed out all the time seems like a vacation. Believe it or not, getting bored is critically important for your health. Maybe not the kind of mind numbing boredom that most of us try to avoid but rather the concept that when we are constantly living a go go life our body never gets the opportunity to reach the parasympathetic state that is required to balance out and reset our body to be in a more harmonious and healthy condition.
January: It is a time of renewal, commitments, and goals. Step back and commit to investing in yourself. This might mean actually investing, like purchasing skin care products or this could mean investing time. Maybe an extra 15 minutes in the morning to meditate, do yoga or sip tea is a good way to start your day.
Many people are hesitant to add an oil to their skin care routine, as it implies oily or shine on the skin surface and we’ve spent so many efforts trying to prevent that! Often, a facial oil is part of many facials, so when you’re laying there with your eyes closed all relaxed, it’s very likely that some sort of oil is being applied to your face.. why not make it part of your daily routine?
At Everly Grace Whole Beauty, we’re committed to natural and organic skin care. We firmly believe that what you put on your skin and into your body plays a part in your overall health. Because let's face it, who doesn't want to feel beautiful inside and out?
Christa here! 2020 is proving to be a very different year. We are experiencing a lot of change and uncertainty and a new normal. I feel it’s important to keep ourselves in check physically, mentally and emotionally. Read on for some of my favorite tools or tips in making that happen.
Your skin care routine should be something that’s always evolving. Between a surprise breakout to dry skin after a weekend away from home, there’s daily changes and there’s seasonal changes. As we approach summer, heat and humidity can make your skin sticky or dry.
Ashley Quadros here, the nutrition specialist at EGB. As we move beyond the first month of life with COVID-19, I find myself constantly working on what I like to call mental hygiene. My mental hygiene comprises the daily habits that keep my emotional health in shape. Just like brushing my teeth or taking a shower, these have been essential for me.
Our lives are different now than they were a month ago. From social events, to work to school, it’s very likely we all have a new routine now. That’s 100% ok. To get to this state, it took a bit of a shift. We had to change our expectations and plans. We had to let go of what was comfortable. By now, many of us are adjusting to a very different way of life and that’s something worth celebrating. While there might be moments of discomfort or frustration, you are here and you are doing it. Good job.
Any ritual can help create balance. Whether it’s an exercise ritual, a morning ritual or your ritual of a glass of wine after work on a Friday, when your mind and your body has an idea of what to expect, it will respond and accept this ritual as a routine. Everly Grace Whole Beauty is about balance. Balance in your skin. Balance in your body and Balance in your soul. When this balance is correct, we can really thrive.
Pressure’s on! At this time of year, we hear a lot of this… A New Year, a New You! New Years Resolutions, New Years Goals, Start new habits, End bad habits. It can be very overwhelming trying to make changes this time of year.
At Everly Grace, we’re here to remind you to slow down, and take care of yourself! This month, we’ll focus on three areas, don’t worry about goals or rules, just make smart choices that agree with your body and mind.
While drinking water and using a daily moisturizer or body oil are also key, dry body brushing can get your skin “moving”. Dry Body Brushing is a traditional natural health practice, that involves using a dry body brush over dry skin preferably after the shower. This is recommended daily.

It’s finally summer! Our skin reacts differently to the drier summer conditions, longer days and more sun. We polled our favorite customers and asked them what pressing questions they had about summer skin care. Read on before you go out into the sun!
At Everly Grace Whole Beauty, there’s a clear reason we included the word WHOLE in our name. Beauty isn’t just following every step of skin care routine and treating symptoms (acne, dry skin, oily skin etc.) as they arise. Whole beauty is about our diet, stress level, hormones, activity level and mental health. It takes more than applying serums and moisturizers to have healthy skin and a healthy mind.
At Everly Grace Whole Beauty, we’re committed to offering the best products for all skin types. While we’ve been loyal to Juice Beauty and Natropathica, it’s time to add one more line to our inventory. Starting this month, we’ll be adding Epicuren Discovery.
Just like our gut, our skin has a microbiome, a complex collection of bacteria that’s serves as a basis for healthy, radiant skin. On the blog this month, we’re talking about microbiomes. From over washing (not good) to exfoliating (good) there’s a fine balance to achieve when caring for your skin’s bacteria.
Winter weather strips your skin of moisture and of its natural, moisturizing oils. Heating your home, removes moisture from the air, making your home environment dryer. Those cozy hot shower, hot tub sessions and baths also drain the skin of natural moisture and oils. That ski lift, winter show shoe adventure or hike can also have winds and winter sun that effect the skins’ natural balance.

At Everly Grace, we start each facial with three deep belly breaths. This is very intentional and not only meant to set the tone of the experience to a calm one and relieve stress from outside the room. We have you take deep belly breaths, where your stomach and waist expands while your chest remains more or less flat.

The concept of listening to your skin sounds odd, I know. It falls into the category of trusting you intuition - like that little voice in your head. Throughout each day, our bodies are constantly giving us signals - like when to eat, when to sleep, or to look out for this or that. Some signals are super obvious, like “this is hot! do not touch!” or not so obvious “I don’t know the answer to a problem and need to talk to a friend.”

BEFORE CARE TIPS
1. Don't Prep the skin
No need to use exfoliants or especially harsh chemicals before the facial session. You will get the full treatment especially at Everly Grace
2. Take it EASY!
It is recommended to take time for Self-Care before and after the facial. Enjoy time for meditation or a warm bath with Epsom salt and essential oils.

Creamy Southwestern Grain Bowl — Here in Utah, it’s late summer, which means community and home gardens are bursting to the brim with sweet corn, juicy tomatoes, and crisp radishes. When I hear those ingredients, my brain goes straight to Southwestern flavors with lime, chilies, and creamy avocado.
Earth Day started in 1970 all because a group of concerned citizens, and a few government officials, cared. And, like the famous Lorax says, “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.”
